Who we are

Photee Color Curve Editor is published by Data Informatics Pty Ltd (ABN 88 618 331 481). In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" refer to Data Informatics Pty Ltd, and "the app" refers to Photee.

Your photos never leave your device

Photee edits entirely on your phone. Every curve, preview and export is computed locally on the device's own processor and graphics hardware.

• Your photos are never uploaded to us or to anyone else.
• They are never sent to a server, because Photee has no server.
• They are never used to train any model.
• We cannot see them. No feature of the app is capable of transmitting them.

The app reads a photo only when you choose one, and writes one only when you tap save — into your own gallery, in a folder named Photee.

Browsing your photo folders

To let you pick a photo from inside the app, Photee asks for permission to read the images on your device (READ_MEDIA_IMAGES, or on Android 14 and later the "selected photos" variant). It is used for three things and nothing else:

• listing the names of your photo folders and how many photos each holds
• showing thumbnails so you can find the picture you want
• opening the one photo you tap, so you can edit it

Photee reads those images on your device only. Nothing is uploaded, copied off the phone, indexed on a server or shared with anyone — the app has no server to send them to. If you decline, every editing feature still works: the app falls back to Android's own photo picker, which hands Photee only the single photo you choose.

On Android 14 and later you may grant access to a chosen subset of photos rather than all of them. Photee shows only what you selected and says so, with a shortcut to change it. You can withdraw the permission at any time in Android Settings, under Apps, then Photee, then Permissions.

There is no account

Photee has no sign-in, no registration and no user profile. We do not collect your name, email address, phone number or contacts. We hold no database of Photee users, because there is nothing to hold.

What is stored on your device

Two small settings, in the app's private storage, readable only by the app: the colour theme you selected, and whether you chose the free ad-supported tier. Both are removed when you uninstall the app. Neither is transmitted anywhere.

Advertising (free tier only)

Photee's free tier shows a single banner supplied by Google AdMob. If you purchase either paid option, no ad is ever requested and your device does not contact the ad network at all.

When ads are shown, Google may collect and process:

• your advertising ID, a resettable identifier not tied to your identity
• device information such as model, operating system version and language
• approximate location, derived from your IP address
• ad interaction data, used to deliver and measure advertising

This data is collected by Google, not by us. We never receive it in a form that identifies you, and we do not combine it with anything else. Google's handling of it is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.

Your choices

• Remove advertising entirely by purchasing either paid option.
• Reset or delete your advertising ID at any time in Android Settings, under Privacy then Ads, which also lets you opt out of personalised advertising.
• If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland or another region with equivalent rules, Photee asks for your consent before any personalised ad is requested. You can change that answer at any time using the "Ad privacy" option on the app's plan screen.

Purchases

Payments are handled entirely by Google Play Billing. Photee never sees, receives or stores your card details, billing address or any other payment information — the purchase sheet belongs to Google, not to us.

The app asks Google Play a single question: whether the signed-in Google account owns the ad-free upgrade. It receives a yes or no. Purchases are tied to your Google account, which is why they restore automatically when you reinstall or change device. Refunds, cancellations and billing enquiries are handled through Google Play.

Permissions

Photee requests permission to read photos and videos, so the gallery can browse your photo folders; internet and network access for advertising and Google Play purchases; the Google Play billing permission; and the advertising ID permission used by AdMob on the free tier.

It does not request camera, location, microphone or contacts permissions, and writes nowhere on your device except the Pictures/Photee folder your exports are saved to.

Analytics

Photee contains no analytics or crash-reporting software. We do not track how you use the app, what you edit, or how often you open it.

Children

Photee is not directed at children and is not designed for use by children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

GDPR and your rights

Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection. Because Photee holds no account and no personal data on any server, we hold nothing to disclose, correct or export. The only personal data involved in using Photee is the advertising data processed by Google, which you control through your Android advertising settings and the in-app consent form.

Data deletion

There is nothing for us to delete. To remove everything the app has stored, uninstall it — this clears the two local settings described above. Photos you saved remain in your gallery, under your control.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision, and material changes will be noted in the app's release notes on Google Play.
